makeup styles fall into different categories. Among them formal makeup requires come skill and comes with practice.
Point of focus
Formal makeup requires that you choose either the eye or the lip as the point of focus and proceed thereafter. First and foremost, the foundation is applied and bronzers are applied over the cheeks. A blusher or a bronzer may be used in moderation to define the cheekbones and face.
Eyes are the point of focus
If the eyes are chosen as the point of focus, start with using a concealer. An elegant look can be achieved by using natural colors such as beige and then blending it with a darker beige or golden hues over the eyelid where it creases.
Eyeliner to define the eyes can be applied on the upper and lower eyelids. This can be followed with thick coats of mascara on the upper and lower lashes. The lipstick in this case should be a subtle color, closer to the natural lip color. This look will clearly make the eyes appear alive & beautiful. Effects that are more formal can be attained by using glittery or shimmery eyes shadow.
Lips as the point of focus
If lips are chosen as, the point of focus, then the eye makeup should appear understated and simple. This will highlight the lip makeup and allow it to stand out. Lip makeup beings with outlining the lips with a lip liner. A lip liner which is a couple of shades darker than the lipstick is chosen and used to outline the lips clearly.
Allow it to dry completely and thereafter use a brush and apply lipstick on the lips. The color needs to be filled in deftly with upward and downward strokes. This allows the colors to blend in well without streaking.
Lip liners help stop the lipstick from bleeding around the corners of the mouth. Finally, the lips are gently blotted and a lip-gloss is applied, if desired.
